منيرة (إلهام شاهين) هي سيدة في الأربعينيات تعيش فى منطقة نائية يطلق عليها نزلة الرشيدى وزوجها هو حاكم المنطقة والمسيطر عليها. وتحاول منيرة بعد وفاة زوجها إعداد ابنها ليحل محل أبيه، لكنها في هذا الأثناء تحكم المنطقة بنفسها حتى تقابل الحب الحقيقى الذى يقلب حياتها رأساً على عقب.
